A Community of Individuals at BISAK
Learning occurs in an atmosphere of supportive, thoughtful care and attention to individual needs. Life at school centres on our clearly articulated set of objectives, which include encouraging students to maximise their potential, and striving for the highest possible academic standards. We also encourage our students to develop a natural curiosity for the world around them, and to think of the welfare of others as a matter of course. We are truly a community of individuals drawn from all over the world. We recognise that these individuals need our special attention and care.
So many people who visit us comment on the evident happiness of the children as they work and play together, and the sense of purpose and care which pervades the whole school. We work hard to maintain this pleasant and constructive ethos, and we value parents’ and students’ comments as part of our ongoing process of self-improvement.
Reflecting the partnership of home and school, parents of our students are invited to take an active interest in all areas of school life. Such support from parents is seen to be critical to a child’s development, and also benefits our school community as a whole. We all share the pride in our school felt by the Board of Governors, staff and students, not just for what it is and what it will be in the future, but for what it can offer towards the education of BISAK children, and for its positive role in the expatriate community here.
