CIS Accreditation Update
BISAK has completed the self-study phase of the accreditation process with the Council of International Schools (CIS). The seven self-studies which have been complete are:
- Philosophy and Objectives
- Staff
- Governance and Management
- Student Support Services
- Curriculum – Horizontal and Vertical
- Student and Community Life
- Resources
All of the self study findings have been streamlined by the Steering group, who identified the main strengths, weakness and actions that need to be addressed by BISAK.
The Steering group passed their recommendations on to the school “Senior Leadership and Management Team” (SLMT), who have addressed each of the issues and recommendations identified by Steering. These findings have been incorporated into the ongoing school action plan which will ensure that the necessary changes occur to develop and improve the school. The action plan is attached below.
The school is now making all the necessary arrangements to host the visiting CIS team members who will spend a week at BISAK, looking at the self study findings. The visiting team is made up of nine members as follows:
