Special Arrangements for Extra Curricular Activities Travel from School: Parents are asked to ensure that appropriate transport arrangements have been made for their child/ren on the day/s of their activities. This will assist in the smooth running of the activities programme and will avoid potential safety issues should an unsupervised student be left at school. School dress/equipment: As per the information for each activity on offer on this website, staff have mentioned any necessary payment/uniform/equipment required for their Club. Pupils that have been admitted into a sporting activity which requires the wearing of their P.E. kit, and who have P.E. during the day of their activity, will be required to stay in their P.E. kit to ensure a prompt start to their activity. Pupil Behaviour Naturally, we expect pupils to behave as well as they normally would during the school day. This has not been a problem so far. However, it is necessary to point out that unacceptable behaviour will result in pupils being withdrawn from their activity. In cases where a fee has been paid for a specific club, a refund will not be given as activities that require payment have been paid for in advance. Health and Safety In the process of organizing the wide range of activities listed here, the staff involved have paid great attention to health and safety guidelines and therefore some activities have been modified. Where activities take place in a potentially hazardous environment, tuition and supervision by appropriately qualified instructors has been arranged. Every activity included in our extra curricular programme has been examined for health and safety purposes to ensure there is an adequate staff:pupil ratio. As a result, we can confidently offer the activities listed on this website. We take the safety and security of all students very seriously. Students can only be in school if they are attending class. They must be collected from school as soon as their class/Club has finished. Students must not be absent from a school activity without written permission from a parent. As ever, students can only go to their friend’s house from school if the school has received written permission from the parents of both children.
